First Steps Childcare Limited opened in 1993.

The nursery is a limited company and operates from a purpose built building in the rural town of Shepton Mallet in Somerset. The property is licensed to care for up 42 children at any one time and is registered to operate from 8am – 6pm each week day all year except for Christmas and bank holidays.

The property also has access to a large, secure and enclosed garden and a side area used as a forest school.

Children in our Setting

All children are given a online learning journal upon enrolment this is used to monitor and record your child’s development against the seven areas in the Revised EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage 2012)

The online learning journals are available for your review at all times and parents and guardians are encouraged to contribute to and share in their children’s experiences from outside the setting.
