Well what a fantastic week. It has been truly wonderful to see the children. They have settled well and seem to be enjoying our bubble system. We want to say a huge thank you to our staff who are constantly ensuring the children are having engaging and fun experiences as well as staying on top of the sterilising and cleaning.
We have been doing a range of activities as you will see in the pictures. You may also notice some very serious looking children concentrating as we have started a First Steps quiz team and I may be biased but I think by this time next year they will be ready for University Challenge, at the moment our themes are generally around Peppa Pig, animals and nursery rhymes but it will be philosophy and economics in no time.
We also had a visit from a police officer who happened to be walking by he came in for a social distance chat which was fantastic and very informative the children were very interested we may have a few future police officers in our mix.
We had a First Steps birthday this week Sam our accounts manager celebrated her birthday on Thursday (I won’t disclose her age) so the children very kindly made her cards and sang to her.
We are so happy to be back and are looking forward to welcoming everyone else soon. We hope all of our families past, present and future are staying safe and well.
